Today, I’d like to share with you my decision to resume my path as a counselor. Through this article, I hope to convey my thoughts and feelings to as many people as possible.
A few years ago, I faced an unexpected accident that left me with a profound disability. At first, even daily life was a struggle. I felt lost, unsure of how to move forward, and my future seemed bleak. However, what supported me during those difficult times was the love and encouragement from my family, friends, and meeting others who were going through similar experiences.
Through this, I realized something important: “Is there something I can do for those who are suffering like I was?” This thought guided me back to my career as a counselor.
A New Perspective from My Disability
The pain and setbacks I experienced have now become my greatest strengths. For those who have also acquired a disability, just knowing that someone else has been through a similar experience might ease their burden, even if just a little. With this hope in my heart, I decided to restart my work as a counselor.
Being a counselor isn’t just about giving advice. It’s about listening to the client’s stories, understanding their feelings, and walking alongside them as they search for a new path. Especially for those who have acquired a disability, they face the daunting task of reconstructing their lives. This process isn’t easy, but it’s important to keep moving forward without losing hope.
As a Counselor Walking Together
My goal is to fully support my clients as they regain their self-esteem and discover new life goals. Just because someone has acquired a disability doesn’t mean their life has ended. Rather, it’s the beginning of a new chapter.
I, too, once faced despair due to my disability. But, over time, I slowly moved forward, and now, as a counselor, I’m able to support many people. Through this experience, I have come to strongly believe that “everyone has the power to walk a new path.”
A Request to You

From now on, as a counselor with a profound disability, I intend to continue standing by many people, helping them take their new steps in life. Please, help us spread our voices.
