Understanding Myself as a Special Existence: My Journey of Practicing Parallel Life

Spread the love

Hello everyone! Today, I’d like to share my thoughts on the theme of “existence” through my own story. As someone who practices “parallel life,” where I take on multiple roles at the same time, I want to reflect on what my existence means and how I’ve come to understand it. I hope this resonates with you.

My New “Existence” as a Person with a Disability
Ten years ago, I experienced a major turning point when I suffered a stroke that paralyzed the left side of my body. My entire life changed, and I often found myself asking, “Who am I now?” I felt that having a disability limited many aspects of my life, including my work and daily routines. It even altered how I saw myself. But through this experience, I came to a key realization: my “existence” didn’t disappear—it just changed its form.

Instead of focusing on what I lost, I began to rebuild myself and find new meaning in my life. One of the ways I did that was by embracing a “parallel life” lifestyle.

Expanding My Existence Through Parallel Life
Parallel life means living multiple lives at once, not being restricted by just one job or role. Today, I work as a cost manager at a major manufacturer, while also practicing as a counselor and running my blog. At the same time, I continue managing my disability, undergoing rehabilitation, and taking care of my health.

By practicing this parallel life, I’m able to explore and express different sides of myself. I don’t limit myself to just one role, and this has allowed me to see myself as a special existence. Many people focus solely on one career or responsibility, but I believe that living multiple roles has made my life fuller and more meaningful. This lifestyle is what makes me unique.

My Existence as a Counselor
As a counselor, I engage deeply with the “existence” of others. Because I’ve overcome my own difficulties, I can offer support and understanding to those who are struggling. The challenges I’ve faced have helped me develop the empathy and perspective I need to truly connect with my clients.

Being a counselor allows me to acknowledge the value in others’ existence, while also continuing to grow and deepen my own. This role adds another layer to my identity and makes my existence even more meaningful.

My Existence as a Blogger
Blogging is another important way that I express my existence. Through my blog, I share my experiences and thoughts with a wider audience, allowing me to connect with people who are in similar situations or who are curious about parallel life. This connection with my readers is incredibly fulfilling and reinforces the sense that my existence has value beyond myself.

By sharing my unique perspectives, especially as someone living with a disability and practicing parallel life, I can offer insights that might not be available elsewhere. This has made my blogging journey not just a platform for expression, but a way to impact others’ lives.

Recognizing Myself as a Special Existence
In the end, I’ve come to understand that my existence is something special and unique. My disability changed how I see myself, but it also gave me the opportunity to redefine who I am. By embracing parallel life, I’ve allowed myself to grow beyond the limitations of a single role, expressing myself across multiple areas. This, in turn, makes my existence meaningful not only to me but to others as well.

If you’re reading this and struggling with your own sense of existence, I encourage you to pause and reflect. You, too, are a special existence. Just like I did, you might find a new form of yourself, and that new self could hold great value for someone else.

If you resonated with this article, please feel free to share it or leave a comment. I would love to continue connecting with all of you, learning from each other’s unique existence.

Until next time!
