A New Step Forward: Embarking on a Journey as an Illustrator

Spread the love

Hello to all my readers and supporters,

Today, I’d like to share a bit about the new direction I’m taking. So far, I’ve been blogging about my experiences and thoughts as a person with a severe disability. This blog has been a precious space for me to reflect on my life and connect with many of you. Your kind words of encouragement and support have kept me going, and I’m deeply grateful for that.

In 2025, I’ll be starting a new challenge: transforming one of my sub-blogs into a platform dedicated to my work as an illustrator. This step represents a significant change for me, venturing into an area I’ve never fully explored before. It’s a challenge filled with hope and excitement.

Discovering Art: Finding Light Amid Challenges
I am a person living with left-side paralysis due to a brain hemorrhage, a condition that has profoundly impacted my life. The journey of rehabilitation has often been tough, and there were times when I felt I was reaching my limits. Amid these struggles, I stumbled upon illustration almost by accident. What started as a simple hobby gradually became a source of healing and energy for me.

Digital illustration, in particular, opened up new possibilities. With tools that are easy to use with one hand, I found a creative outlet that allowed me to overcome physical limitations. Each stroke of the pen, every line and color I created, became a way to express emotions and ideas I couldn’t put into words. It brought a kind of joy and fulfillment I had never experienced before.

Moving Beyond “Disabled”: Redefining Myself
Until now, I’ve been sharing stories and insights from the perspective of a disabled person. While this has been meaningful and impactful, I’ve come to realize that there’s more to me than just this identity. I want to step beyond the label of “disabled” and share another side of myself — the side of me that is an artist.

Through this new blog, I hope to connect with people not just as someone with a disability but as an illustrator who creates art with passion and purpose. My goal is to share my worldview and imagination through my illustrations, creating new connections and inspiring others in ways beyond words.

What the New Blog Will Offer
The new blog will be more than a gallery of my illustrations. It will be a place where I share the stories and thoughts behind each piece — why I chose certain colors, what inspired a particular line or composition, and the emotions I poured into the work. I hope these stories will resonate with readers and spark meaningful connections.

I also want to use this platform to support others who, like me, may be facing physical challenges yet dream of pursuing creative endeavors. I plan to share practical tips, tools, and insights I’ve gained from my journey as a disabled illustrator. By doing so, I hope to inspire others to take a step toward their own dreams, no matter how impossible they may seem.

Facing Challenges Together
I know this new path won’t be an easy one. Entering a new field always comes with uncertainties and hurdles. But I’ve decided to take this step because of the encouragement and support I’ve received from all of you.

Through my illustrations, I hope to convey more than just images. I aim to create something that moves hearts and gives others the strength to face tomorrow. If even one person feels uplifted by the stories and emotions within my art, then this challenge will be worth it.

Finally, a Message to You
This new challenge beginning in 2025 is a turning point in my life. I would be so grateful if you could join me on this journey, offering your support as I take this step forward. If you like my illustrations, sharing them or leaving a comment would mean the world to me and serve as a tremendous source of motivation.

To all who have supported me so far and to those I hope to meet in the future, thank you. This journey is not mine alone — it is one we’ll take together.

May this “new step forward” inspire you to take your own leap of faith.

Thank you so much for everything.
