Hello, Today, I want to share an unusual challenge I’m embarking on. I’m about to take the TOEIC test for the first time. But there’s a twist – I’ll be attempting it without any prior study to see how well I can score!
Why Am I Taking the TOEIC Without Studying?
You might be wondering, “Why take TOEIC without studying?” Well, there’s a reason for this. I’ve devoted a lot of time to learning English. From everyday conversations to business English, I’ve had various experiences using the language. I wanted to test my English skills in a real-life scenario. This challenge seemed like a great opportunity to reassess my abilities.
The Excitement of This Challenge
Sure, there’s a risk in this approach. But more than that, I’m thrilled. Usually, people spend weeks preparing for the test, but I deliberately skipped that process. It’s unpredictable what results this might bring, and that’s what makes this challenge so exciting.
My Mindset on the Day of the Test
On the day of the test, while other candidates were busy with last-minute revisions, I stayed relaxed, trusting my past experiences. In the listening section, my habit of listening to English podcasts and watching movies paid off, allowing me to approach the tasks with ease. The reading section was also manageable, thanks to my regular habit of reading English articles and books.
Regardless of the Outcome, It’s a Valuable Experience
I haven’t received my results yet, but the experience itself was incredibly valuable. This test, without prior study, was a significant challenge in gauging my English proficiency. Regardless of the outcome, it has provided a great insight for my future learning.
A Message to Fellow English Learners
If you’re also learning English, trying out a similar challenge might be interesting. Taking TOEIC without studying isn’t a conventional approach, but it’s one way to find out what works best for you. Why not expand your horizons through such challenges?
